This exhibition has been installed in the basement of the former residence of the soviet Committee for State Security, KGB (now the Klaipėda Territorial Customs Office is located there). In the cells of this building 8,268 persons were imprisoned from 1945 to 1954. In order to suppress the prisoners physically and psychologically, they were questioned and tortured, many of them were killed.

The exhibition presents the resistance of partisans in Western Lithuania during 1945–1954, the history of political prisoners and exiles.
